May 5 Cinco de Mayo Celebration On Saturday, May 5, from 5-7 p.m., the Presbyterian Women are hosting a dinner to celebrate the day. The fundraiser is open to the public and tickets are now available in our church office, at Long's, and through several women in the church. Adults are $10, children 7 years and under, $5.
May 6 Blanket and Tool Sunday Each year the Presbyterian Women collect donations for the Church World Services "Blankets and Tools Program" around Mother's Day. This year we will have the collection at church on Sundays May 6th and May 13th. A card and envelope to honor either a mother or father will be given for each $5 donation. This amount, $5, supports the cost of a blanket or a tool which can be given to help someone in need. The churchworldservice.org web site reports some of the many places blankets, tools, health kits and other supplies are needed. The U.S., Syria, Serbia, and numerous countries in Africa are just a few of the locations where supplies are sent. Your gifts transform the lives of mothers, fathers, and children struggling to build a better life. And we get transformed in the process: hearts get bigger, lives are richer, and we are more connected to our world.

May 27 Ecumenical Service in the park On Sunday, May 27, from 10-11 a.m., we will join in the ecumenical service in the court house park for worship (this will be our church service).
June 12 PW Summer Picnic It's that time of year again to relax by the lake, eat some delicious picnic fare, enjoy conversation with other women, and learn about upcoming happenings. Please come and bring a friend. All women of the church are welcome to the PW Picnic, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, at Linda Jackson's house. Bring a dish to pass and your own table service; drinks will be provided. Those who wish to carpool, meet at the church at 5:30 p.m.
